WHO: Remember WHO We Are

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” (1 Peter 2:9, NIV)

APPLY: APPLY the Blood (it’s where prayer-power comes from)

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings ...” (Hebrews 10:19–22, NIV)

LISTEN: Listen & Observe (How will God lead us to pray uniquely on this walk?)

“But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” (Matthew 13:16, NIV)

KINGDOM: Pray for His KINGDOM to come in Boulder as it is in Heaven

“This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’” (Matthew 6:9–10, NIV)

Our 1st Anchor is BELONG which means:

We are a hospitable community that loves others as God loves us—full of grace and truth.

The Bible says:

“... God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8, NIV)

Pray:

• that God would fill us with His love for Boulder
• for hearts in Boulder to experience His love
• that people in Boulder would be drawn to Christian community

Our 2nd Anchor is BELIEVE which means:

We are a worshiping community centered on the lordship of Jesus and obedience to His Word.

The Bible says:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV)

Pray:

• for boldness & opportunities to witness
• that people in Boulder would turn from sin and trust in Jesus
• that Boulder churches would faithfully preach the Good News

Our 3rd Anchor is BECOME which means:

We are a transformational community, consistently taking next steps in our relationship with Jesus.

The Bible says:

“To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.” (1 Peter 2:21–22, NIV)

Pray:

• for Boulder believers (including us) to take next steps in our faith
• that people would leave behind the old life and walk in new life
• for courage to invite others to take next steps

Our 4th Anchor is BELAY which means:

We are a missional community—ministering to our church, neighborhoods, and world—and supporting others to do the same.

The Bible says:

“Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (Mt 28:18–20)

Pray:

• for a permanent place in central Boulder for Belay
• that Boulder believers would live on mission wherever we are
• for the ministries Belay supports

• As we move through the streets of Central Boulder, we’re asking God to move in the lives of the people here.
• It's a way to pray with our feet—seeing the city, noticing what's around us, and inviting God into it all.

Not necessarily. We read scripture and pray at each corner of the walk, but you’re welcome to chat with others between the corners, walk quietly, or pray as you walk — it’s all ok!

There’s a poster at the Durbins’ with 333 boxes. When you complete a prayer walk, you get to fill one in!
